Aims:

• Reconnect African-Australian youth back to their communities, schools, employment and further studies; and
• Create hope for the future, good employment prospects, educational opportunities for African-Australian and other youths in Melbourne and other rural areas of Victoria.

Objectives:

• Facilitate leadership skills, teamwork, social skills and positive attitude through "Care Africa Youth Mentoring Program (CAYMP)".
• Inspire and motivate youths from African background to be successful in their undertaking through "Care Africa Star Tutoring (CAST)".
• Reduce high school dropout rate of African-Australian in the South Eastern region of Melbourne through (CAST).
• Promote and encourage positive values that involves self respect, worth and dignity (CAYMP),
• Develop inner strength and confidence to reach achievable goals (CAYMP).

Target Group:

• Young African-Australian who are refugee and new immigrant between (12 - 25) years old;
• Young person living in Victoria;
• Young person who is unemployed and need direction;
• Young person who could benefit from having adult mentor (role model); and
• Young person who is at risk.
